Standard Conditions of Hire.

Galleon Studios is owned and operated by Galleon Productions

1. The studio is open 7 days a week split into 2 shifts: “Day Shift”; studio day is from 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. “Night Shift” from 7pm to 3 pm. Half day is 9am to1pm / 2pm to 6pm / 7 pm to 11 pm. Overrun of hire period cannot be guaranteed as previous bookings may have been accepted.

2. Overtime rate is charged at £25 per hour for studio + £25 per hour per crew member (if applicable)

3. Payment by cash or cheque is due on or before the first day of hire for the full amount. No credit cards accepted. All cheques should be made payable to Galleon Productions.

4. We can accept pencil bookings online, via email and telephone. We reserve the right to cancel a provisional booking if a confirmed (fully paid) booking is made occupying the same time-frame.

5. If you cancel after a booking has been confirmed a cancellation fee will apply. Any booking cancelled less than 48 hours before commencement will be billed at full rate plus expenses incurred. If cancelled more than 72-48 hours before commencement you will be billed at 50% of basic day rate plus expenses incurred.

6. We can supply lighting, crew, set building, tools and catering but this must be agreed prior to hire.

7. Screen is supplied clean and white and all costs of painting, repairing and maintaining this condition are payable by the client. Repainting to a specific colour and back to white is additional £150.

8. Any damage during the hire period accidental or otherwise to be notified immediately, it is the responsibility of the client to repair or replace all damaged items, failing which the cost of repair or replacement will be added to the final invoice.

9. The studio must be left in a clean, tidy condition and if this is not the case an additional cleaning charge of £45 per hour is payable.

10. No toxic, flammable or dangerous materials or fluids must be brought into or used in the studio.

11. No Hazardous or dangerous activities permitted in the studio including pyrotechnics.

12. Galleon Productions will not be liable for the death of or injury to any person using a studio or for any losses claims demands actions proceedings damages costs or expenses or other liability incurred by the persons using a studio.

13. Galleon Productions will not under any circumstances accept responsibility or liability in respect of any damage to or loss of any goods articles or property of any kind brought into or left at a studio (including loss or damage to vehicles or their contents in the car park) either by the client for their own purposes or by any other person.

14. The client will indemnify Galleon Productions against all such liabilities as are mentioned in condition 12.

15. Galleon Productions will not be liable for any loss due to any failure of supply of electricity or water or flood, fire, government restriction or act of God which may cause a studio to be temporarily closed or the hirer to be interrupted or cancelled.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
